9. Galenus Workshop

Coming to Graz
By Plane:
About one million passengers fly from or to Graz every year. The airport is located in close proximity to the city, offering regular connections to Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna and Zurich. Alternatively, you can choose to fly to Vienna and utilizing additional connections by train or coach. Flixbus (offers a direct connection from Vienna Airport)
By Train:
The main railway station in Graz is one of the most important stations in Austria and is not far from the Graz city centre, which can be reached by tramlines 1,3,6 and 7 in a few minutes. There are direct train and coach connections for example from Vienna, Salzburg, Linz, Innsbruck, Klagenfurt, Munich, Stuttgart and Frankfurt. You’ll find many other day and night connections and also special price offers on www.oebb.at or www.bahn.de.
Staying in Graz:
Graz offers a variety of possibilities to spend the night, from a simple 2* hotel to a luxurious 4* superior with extended wellness area. We generally recommend the following three hotels:
LAB & Facility TOUR
Inform and demonstrate: Experience RCPE‘s excellent infrastructure and learn more about the impact on pharmaceutical manufacturing. More than 2,000 square meters allow RCPE researchers, students, and partners to develop, test and implement their ideas in real-world production settings.
The guided tours offer a broad spectrum around the topic of Pharma 4.0 and everything relevant for pharmaceutical companies, their employees, and their (future) customers.
Social & Networking activities
Dinner // AIOLA UPSTAIRS
The official conference dinner will be hosted at aiola upstairs, right on top of the Schloßberg. Indulge yourself with modern, Styrian cuisine and the best wines the regional wineries offer while enjoying a stunning view over the entire city. If you‘re still in the mood for more, take the Schloßbergrutsche (Castle Hill Slide) down.
After-Conference social
This workshop is all about connections. We connect challenges with solutions and academics with industry professionals, but ultimately we connect humans.
Share a laugh, talk non-business and deepen those connections at the after-conference social. There isn‘t any better way to start your weekend or enjoy a couple more hours in Graz before traveling home.
